We have put together this excellent one-week excursion through the magical land of the Incas: Cusco. A city that fills all Peruvians with pride and fills all its visitors with joy. Walking through the streets of Cusco is walking through streets full of history that connect to one of the natural wonders of the world: Machu Picchu.
Join us on this 7-day / 6-night adventure, with the option to customize:
Day 1:
- Reception at the airport and transfer to your hotel in Cusco.
- In the afternoon, City Tour of the city of Cusco with a visit to 4 archaeological sites: Saqsaywaman, Puka Pukara, Tambomachay and Qenqo.
Day 2:
- Sacred Valley of the Incas Tour: Pisaq, Urubamba (buffet lunch) and
- Expedition or Vistadome Train to Machu Picchu Pueblo (Aguas Calientes). Overnight at the site.
Day 3:
- Machu Picchu Tour (with option to hike to Huayna Picchu Mountain).
- Expedition or Vistadome train return to Ollantaytambo or the city of Cusco.
Day 4:
- Tour of Maras and Moray in the Sacred Valley of the Incas. In this place we will learn about the agricultural techniques of the Incas.
Day 5:
- Tour Laguna Humantay a 4200 msnm. Hermosa laguna de aguas turquesas y verdes, se ubica muy cerca a una de las montañas sagradas de los incas, el Apu Salkantay. La caminata es suave, de 1 ½ horas para ascender y casi el mismo tiempo para descender. Es un buen entrenamiento previo al trekking de la montaña arcoíris.
Day 6:
- Palcoyo Mountain Tour (Rainbow Mountain) at 4900 meters above sea level. Palcoyo is located close to the Apu Ausangate, a sacred mountain for the Incas. This is an alternative tour to Vinincunca, which requires much more physical effort. Palcoyo is a mountain range with reddish and rainbow colors, thanks to the minerals found in the earth. The walk takes 1 ½ hours and reaches a maximum altitude of 4900 meters above sea level. It is recommended to do this tour as the last activity in Cusco, because our body must be well acclimatized for the experience.
Day 7:
- Farewell and transfer to Cusco airport.
