Hello! I am Nathaly, a Peruvian born in Lima who has a lot of love for the Peruvian culture. My passion for history and art was what guided me to study architecture and also to work in it. But there was a time in my life, probably like many of you, that I wanted to do more. I wanted to share all the information I know and also my life and travel experiences in Peru, so I also decided to become an official tour guide. I have been working as one for seven years, always connected with my first career. I must say that I am very happy to have made that decision, because now I work in what I really like.
Parallel to when I was studying, I came up with the idea of sharing the photographs I had taken during my travels through Peru and that is how the idea of 'Hijos Del Sol' was born, the first contact was through social networks such as Instagram and also Facebook, with which I have been working for the last two years. I have created a nice circle of followers who are very interested in knowing more about this wonderful country. Then, I gave myself one more challenge and that was to edit videos of my trips. I opened my YouTube channel and uploaded them little by little. Now…
Why the name 'Children of the Sun'?
The sun has been the star that has most influenced the different cultures of Ancient Peru, so much so that it was considered a God, the entity responsible for the day, the one that gives life, the one that nourishes the crops with its heat and the one that gives energy to all living things. The sun protected and, for many, still protects the inhabitants of these lands and in my opinion it is the one that unites all the different cultures that develop within Peru, whether on the coast, in the Andes or in the Amazon. We are all the Children of the Sun.
And that is how, this year, with much love, I have decided to open this blog in which I will share with you my travel experiences in Peru, guiding you on the activities that you can do in each region of the country, telling you a little about the cultures and beliefs of each place. Perhaps they even dare to come to Peru. We await you with open arms.
I am grateful that you have come to this blog and that each of you takes away a little bit of knowledge about this beautiful country.
Thank you for being part of this traveling circle.
Hugs,
Natalie Rivera
